Since 2020, pamiri.online has provided open access to digital dictionaries and other linguistic tools dedicated to Pamir languages.

Over the years, the project's maintenance and development have been supported by small grants from academic institutions. However, securing such funding has become practically impossible in recent years.

Therefore, we are launching a public crowdfunding campaign with the following goals:

• Annual coverage of domain, hosting, and system administration costs (approx. £250/$340/€290 per year).
• Digitizing, proofreading, and uploading new dictionaries (from £1,500/$2,050/€1,750 per 10,000 dictionary entries). This high cost is due to the detailed structural markup of the entries—each vocabulary zone is tagged separately to enable advanced search features.
• Proofreading and editing existing sources—correcting OCR and automatic markup errors (from £1,300/$1,760/€1,520 per 10,000 entries).

Currently, our immediate goal is to digitize translation dictionaries for Yaghnobi, Oroshori, and Ishkashimi, as well as etymological dictionaries for Shughni and Wakhi.
